1. Who is responsible

Floor2Model is owned and operated by Virkley ApS, a company registered in Denmark. Virkley ApS is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at info@virkley.com.

2. What we collect

Floorplans you upload. Every time you upload a floorplan, we save the image, the 3D model generated from it, and any edits you make. A floorplan may contain personal information if it shows names, addresses or similar details.
Technical and session data. Such as your IP address, basic request information, and a session identifier we store in a cookie. We use this to run the service, link jobs to your browser session, prevent abuse and apply upload limits.
Usage analytics. Aggregated information about how the site is used, such as page views and approximate traffic, collected through Vercel Analytics. This helps us understand which pages are used and improve the service. It is not used for advertising.
Payment data. When you pay to unlock a download, Stripe collects your payment details (such as card information and email for the receipt). We receive payment status, Stripe session or payment identifiers, and the amount paid, linked to the job. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply.

There are no user accounts on Floor2Model. We do not ask you to create a password.

3. How we use it

To convert your floorplan into a 3D model and let you edit and download it.
To train and improve our AI models and the service, where you have agreed to our Terms and Conditions.
To process payments and unlock downloads.
To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and enforce upload limits.
To measure site traffic and improve Floor2Model using privacy-focused analytics (Vercel Analytics).
To answer your questions and comply with legal obligations, including bookkeeping.

4. Legal basis

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on: performing the service you ask for, including payment and download unlock (Article 6(1)(b)); your consent to use uploads to train and improve our AI models and the service, given when you tick the Terms checkbox (Article 6(1)(a)); our legitimate interests in securing the service, preventing abuse, and understanding how the site is used so we can improve it (Article 6(1)(f)); and compliance with legal obligations such as accounting records (Article 6(1)(c)).

5. Sharing and processors

We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers who process data on our behalf under agreements that protect it, including:

hosting (including Vercel);
database and file storage;
AI processing;
payments; and
website analytics (Vercel Analytics).

We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

6. International transfers

Some of our processors are based in the United States or other countries outside the EU and EEA. When personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

7. How long we keep it

We keep uploaded floorplans and generated models for as long as we need them to provide the service and, where you have consented, to train and improve our models, or until we erase them after a valid deletion request. Session cookies last about 30 days. Payment and bookkeeping records are kept for as long as Danish law requires. We keep technical logs and support emails only as long as needed for security, support and legal reasons.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to our processing, withdraw consent where we rely on it, and receive a copy of it. If you withdraw consent for AI training, we will stop using that upload for training where consent was the basis; we may still keep data needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations on another basis. To make a request, email info@virkley.com and include enough detail to help us find your floorplan or payment. You also have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) at datatilsynet.dk.

If you are in California or another US state with similar laws: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You may contact us at the email above to request access or deletion, subject to applicable law.

9. Please keep personal details out of your floorplans

Where you can, crop or blur names, addresses and other personal information before you upload. Do not upload floorplans of any place or material you are not allowed to share.

10. Cookies and analytics

Floor2Model sets an essential session cookie so we can recognise your browser session, keep your jobs available to you and apply upload limits. It is httpOnly, lasts about 30 days, and is not used for advertising.

We also use Vercel Analytics to measure page views and how people use the site. Vercel Analytics is designed to be privacy-focused and does not use advertising cookies for cross-site tracking. Aggregated usage data may be processed by Vercel in the United States or other regions where Vercel operates; see section 6 on international transfers. We do not use this data for advertising. 11. Children

Floor2Model is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has uploaded data, contact us and we will delete it where appropriate.

12. Automated processing

We use AI to convert your floorplan into a 3D model. That automated processing is the service itself. It is not used for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you beyond generating the model you requested.

13. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Our Terms and Conditions also apply when you use the service.
